Bringing my last post over from the old thread.

Funnily the main theme of the movie was written by a scottish musician a year prior to the film's release and was meant as a celtic/gaelic warrior anthem, but they chose it as the native american warrior anthem and it actually fitted perfectly well lol.

NP!

It does sound kind of scottish now that I've listened to it a few times. But I could also see it fitting perfectly in a movie about Native Americans...it's kind of weird

Happy weekend everyone!

Yes story-wise I thought it was great also visually, and casting-wise.

But I must complain a little bit about the action scenes, throughout most of the show the characters never felt in real danger like when they met medusa or also in the end now, the fight scenes feel a bit lackluster. And i mean they had a decent budget actually. But I feel the movie did that aspect much better, be it the medusa scene or the hydra scene or the final fight with the "waterbending" It just felt more exiting in the film and just felt more epic.

Though the film never was as good when it comes to character development or general story.

I loved the show so much! The characters were soooo much better and way truer to the books.

I watched the BTS of them doing the fight scenes and they put SO much work into them and all of the actors seemed so into it. I wonder if Disney+ wanted to tone it down a bit.

You mean bc they wanted to make it more for kids? Yes possibly, though I'd find that a bit weird.

Yeah and because the actors are a little younger? But I just checked and the movie and show both have a PG rating so actually I wouldn't think that would be a big deal..

I'm so happy!! She's always feeding us

I had no qualms about the fighting in the series, but I guess I was just vibing I enjoyed watching a show that wasn't stressing me out much.

Yeah that was kind of nice to have a more chill show. Though it did teach me that I need to re-read the books. There were way too many times in the show where I was like "omg what's going to happen" because I haven't read the book since I was like 12 and I had forgotten. The experience could have been far less stressful for me

I lowkey thought Taylor was going to announce a re-record but was pleasantly surprised to hear a new album! I am excited.
