Oh they are adorable lol.

The problem of season 1-3 of the new show is the low budget they had, the animations are often not so great and the soundtracks are fine but a bit repetitive, the movies instead have a cinema budget which means highly improved animation, like it looks a lot better and also great new soundtracks.

Ohhhh that's interesting about the budget! Watching it without any other point of reference it doesn't look cheaply made, but the movie looks way better now that I've seen those clips you posted. I'm excited to watch it now!

Yes, those are from Sailor Moon Eternal the movie for the 4th story arc.

i finally saw the Sailor Moon Cosmos film aka the 5th and final arc on netflix and it's so good. Imo the final arc is by far the best, bc it puts the stakes much higher, now sailor moon does not only have to save earth but the whole milky-way galaxy from the source of eternal evil. It's way more dramatic and def also darker than the other arcs who have some drama but are mostly rather "all will be well don't worry" type of stories.

This has a lot of drama and death and the ending is also a little bittersweet. The premise without spoiling is that there is an evil sailor warrior (sailor galaxia) that kills other sailor warriors across the galaxy and she now wants to kills Usagi and her friends and a bunch of sailor warriors and thei princess who fled their planet when it was destroyed, seek refuge on earth to ask Usagi for help.

This sounds so cool! The show does tend to feel lower stakes so far, so having a villain that evil sound so interesting.

Yes it's also when we learn more backstory about some characters and our characters learn that there are many inhabited worlds outside of our solar system all with their own sailor warriors.

Oh that sounds cool! And it opens the door for many more shows if they wanted to explore those worlds and their guardians more.

Indeed, but i doubt it, the manga was written in the late 80s/early 90s and there have never been any follow up stories.

Oh shoot never mind then. I've never really been a written manga fan so I'm not familiar with the books.



Honestly very surprised Moana beat Wicked this weekend!

Yeah I remember really liking it! I'll probably see the second one at some point. I just know people were really looking forward to Wicked.
