Yeah I think that's really nice! The war probably made people kind of hesitant to travel, plus the world being so divided. It's nice to see so much more mixing. The world already looked a bit more open by the last episode of ATLA but it's great to see more mixing!

I remember the first graphic novel, which was the only one I read, being a lot about this

So cute that a firebender and earthbender fell in love and got two sons to represent both styles

It was so sad to learn about what happened to their parents

Mako has been taking care of Bolin since they were kids. It's clear he would do anything for him.

They were both so young. Their relationship is very sweet. Mako definitely would do anything for his brother.

I also think Bolin would do anything for Mako. It was clear he was trying to prove himself and contribute which was why he got himself in a literal shady situation.

They have a very sweet relationship. It was sweet how dedicated Bolin was to trying to get the money (even if it led to a very bad situation). I guess when they're really all each other has that's how it has to be

Though Bolin looks to be struggling a bit more with his Korra crush

He's in a crush on his own which is always sad

Poor Bolin. Unrequited crushes are always a bit sad. Even in cartoons
