Yes! She proved as an excellent physical therapist for Korra. I feel like that is somewhat what she was. Katara is an excellent healer and at least got Korra moving again.

Yeah it seemed a lot like real world world physical therapy. She was able to use her healing abilities and help her talk about things too.
