Sooo this is exciting for me because I actually know him! I watch him on Kim's Convenience where he plays the father of the family the story is about, aka appa which is father in Korean. It's a comedy so the episodes are both short and funny. I'd recommend it!

Him replying to fans with gifs of himself has to be the purest thing I've ever seen :lol:

My mom's obsessed with Kim's Convenience! I've watched a few episodes with her and it's pretty funny and he's a good actor! Watching it all the way through is on my long to-watch list :lol:

I love how much he hyped up the young cast! That's got to be so exciting for them since they're all a bit more inexperienced.

I also love him talking about representation in the show! Representation has come a really long way but having a cast like they do of all Asian or Native actors is still really big, especially since the show was inspired by anime and some aspects of those cultures. I know we've already talked about this a bit but I am so glad they casted properly (unlike the movie).

Such a major upgrade from the movie and it deserves the praise :nod: I'm so happy to see representation continue to grow :love: It's so nice to hear him talk about it and have him share that with us.

Yeah I think certain bits of the character design will really only work in cartoons! The pointy beard bits being one of them. I'm also curious how they'll do Zuko's ponytail but that's another post :lol:
