Thanks for starting this thread. Well, I did find some here in the Portland Metro Area. 1 is called ''Portland Holiday Market''. There is 1 closer that will be taking place this Saturday in my town around 4 miles & over 6 kilometers from home. I'll do my best to check it out.

Wow. Glad to hear that. Hopefully you are all having a good start to this week. I didn't get much sleep last night & slept in today. Hopefully I'll get to sleep earlier tonight.
|
yeah the Christmas markets are nicer in Europe. :)
speaking of sleep, gotta go  |
Yes. I slept in today. I woke up & watched some wrestling & was still sleepy, so put on some yoga/sleeping/meditation music on YouTube & fell asleep thankfully for a while longer. I was up to late watching T.V. again.

 i hope u can catch some sleep.
i like staying up late at night  as well and sleeping in. the sad reality is, the more i'm depressed, i seem to stay later than i should even on weekdays. the next day, i log on to work at 9:30 when i can (thanks to flexible hours) then have to work until 5:30 feeling fed up. vicious cycle. |
Oh. Hopefully you can catch up on some sleep also then. I'm going to watch ''Miracle on 34th Street'' from 1994 tonight if possible. I have not that I recall seen it yet. I have watched the 1 with Natalie Wood in it from 1947. That 1 I'll try to see again on Christmas Day. Winter break is coming up.:thud:

enjoy ur christmas movies :)
sleep seems like a luxury. |
It shouldn't though. It's needed for health reasons & to be able function. Sleep for me between the hours of 10:00 P.M. & 3:00 can be tough to pull off in my house for me though. I did it pretty quite to fall asleep as perhaps most do. It thankfully stopped raining here. It was pouring earlier & windy while I was at our holiday market. I think I lost my cloth mask. I did have it at home tonight, so hopefully it's there somewhere.

i hope the weather has been better these days.
speaking of sleep i should go to bed |
Yes. Today it has been nice out. As for the rest of this week I'm not expecting the same, but maybe we'll get some fortune in that regard.

we got some snow today.
god i need time off. only 6 working days left :yay: |
Well, hopefully you get Christmas Day off. I started watching ''Christmas with the Kranks'' last night. I did not finish it, but I can see why many are not fans of that film. It has people go out of their way to make others feel bad for not celebrating Christmas. There was 1 scene where they had carolers show up to the Kranks home singing. That film came out in 2004, but I had not seen it, except for some bits & pieces I think. Honestly in my town & particularly in my neighborhood many people don't have Christmas lights put up yet & on during darkness. We do at my home have them up. Also I know of another area of my town that has a bunch up. I actually met someone I think he's in his 60's or 70's around here last month that does not celebrate Christmas or Thanksgiving.

i'll be off work from the 24th and won't go back until Jan. 5th. can't wait.
i guess every family is different. in my family, most people are Christian and celebrate Christmas with their church. we never really gather for Christmas. this year only me and my mom because everyone else is out of town. i didn't grow up with Christmas traditions, gifts or Christmas dinners. pre-covid i used to get really overwhelmed of all the social gatherings (work, friends, my ex's friends, my ex's family) in a short period of time during the holidays and all the rush of buying gifts. i guess i'm just not used to all of it. |
