i notice that my library only has Ghost in the Shell Arise 3 and 4. it sucks. i wonder why they don't have 1 and 2. :(

Yeah. I know that with Manga some public libraries only have certain volumes of titles instead of each of them. I'd guess that is the same with D.V.D.s.

i saw Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig at the library and decided to give it another chance. i watched a few episodes years but never finished the series.

I just started rewatching Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd Gig. it's not bad after 3 episodes. i didn't finish the series first time, i hope to finish all 26 episodes this time.

That's terrific. I wish you well in watching each of those episodes.

i'm about half-way through Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd Gig. it's alright but i'm under the impression that Stand Alone Complex (aka season 1) was better. 2nd Gig has some episodes focused on supporting characters Togusa, Pazu and Saito. there were good episodes but totally unnecessary, felt like there were fillers.

Ghost in the Shell: Innocence was enjoyable, finally watched it tonight. it focuses on Batou. the ambience, the music (love it! :love:), the ghost in the shell world we love, all were there except it lacks of the Major. at times, it was a bit too philosophical. overall it was beautiful visually and aged well on blu-ray even if it was made in 2004, almost 20 years ago. i watched the making-of and i get what Oshii is trying to do. he's great with this body/soul theme. although they didn't win, they were nominated for Palme d'Or at Cannes which is still amazing :clap:


side note: after some research, i realised that the voice-actors for the Major and Batou have been voicing the character since the first film through out all the animated series :love:

I did not know that they have been using the same voice-actors for them. Was that you first time watching ''Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence''?
