Also a lot of so called cyberpunk in this. The dark and gritty future world is typical for cyberpunk, as seen in this, akira or of course blade runner.

I must say this is perhaps the best drawn anime I've ever seen. Amazing animation, with so many details.

I'd have preferred if at least a few of the people from the original anime were inolved in the live action show tbh. At least the composer from the anime is coming back.

Yes it could be a hit or miss indeed. The anime is definitely special and actually quite epic as you say not just bc of the story but also the exceptional drawing, not sure how that will translate to live action.

i can recall Sailormoon being awful as live-action , i get that they didn't have as much budget than Netflix but still...there's no way the transformation scenes could as magical as the anime.

or look at Lion King, animals singing in cartoons, it's fine by me. but as live-action, it was odd even when it's a visually stunning movie.

in theory, Cowboy Bebop should be fine as live-action: futuristic, cyberpunk setting with humans. all of which have been done before on tv or in movies. let's just hope they did a great job in the adaptation.

Yeah it seems a bit easier to adapt than sailor moon tbh.

Well i saw a bit of the live action sailor moon. But while bunny looks like a normal blue eyed blond white girl in the anime, she's actually supposed to be japanese (and not white) of course and they just put some cheap blonde wig and blue contact lenses on the actress and it looked really weird.

Yeah often in anime the people look very anime-like with weird hair or eye colours. In cowboy bebop though you can see they are realy people of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Example: Michiru has "natural" green hair. Chibiusa has pink hair and red eyes?

Yes that's what i mean, it's really common in anime though, but not so much in cowboy bebop.
