I would love it if they do, but I can understand it if they never go that direction in their life & marriage.

IIRC James & Steve in an interview said they originally had Juliet being revealed as pregnant in psych 2. But they changed their mind because they felt they couldn't do that storyline justice while simultaneously having to share story time with Lassie's recovery story. They also felt Shawn's forward development felt more natural when it came about slowly. They made it Selene because they felt that revelation would work better as a foot note.

It's safe to say that that story idea of Shules having children has been discussed by them as a possibility (whether they change their mind we don't know), but it sounds like Gus & his child will be a focus in this movie. So having that story in psych 3 doesn't sound like they'd be able to do that story justice here either.

But I'd like to see forward trajectory for shules though, I'm hoping they'll have a house right next to Gus & Selene, just like Shawn & Gus talked about with their significant others.
