Episode Discussion

After getting a taste of the superhero life, Mike pleads with Pat to let him join the team.
Elsewhere, after seeking help from Thunderbolt, the JSA prepare for a confrontation with The Shade.

I don't know for sure, but don't think so, unless Courtney will be in summer school for the entire 2nd season of ''Stargirl''. If you haven't watched ''Black Lightning'' before, for that show's story arcs they had episodes that had ''books'' & ''chapters'' in them. For example in season 3 episode 13 of ''Black Lightning'' it was titled ''The Book of Markovia: Chapter Four: Grab the strap''. So there were of course 3 previous episodes of that book as you could guess. I'll also mention for that season there are 4 total books. Unsure how many ''Summer School'' chapters there will be, but my guess is that it won't be more than 5.

"Stargirl" episode 203 "Summer School: Chapter 3" is airing here out west & 1 way to deter people from stealing children's cookies that are selling them in broad daylight outside is to have 1 or more adults with them. Sheesh. Good for Mike getting to be part of teen superhero group. It could workout for him.

I really enjoyed this episode!
I loved seeing Mike as Thunderbolt! It's so sad though with how lonely he is which I don't really see got repaired by the end of this episode but the man did I want to see him have Thunderbolt a lot longer but he's meant to be with Jakeem Thunder. It was great yet sad to see him be so lonely and just want to fit in and when he tried to help the JSA, he almost got all of them killed. I do love a powerful villain though and The Shade dominates the JSA like that was quite something! No one could take him, they really got lucky there.

Yolanda and Mike's scene is something I didn't expect. Yolanda confiding in Mike because she was hoping that one person would know how she felt since he killed Icicle by accident. But, for Mike, it didn't seem like it hurts him as much as it's eating Yolanda alive.

Courtney's history scene was awesome! Had to mention that.

Beth and Rick!

Finally we get their bond again! I loved the scene in the end when he wanted her to open up to him and then tell her to pretend that he's Chuck.

Amazing!
Love that Chuck was able to quickly warn her as well. I just love their relationship.

yeah I loved the Mike / Yolanda bonding scene too.

and the Beth and Rick Bonding moment too. I hope we get more of those in future episodes.

yeah shade was pretty impressive. he didnt even have to try to take them down his magic was that powerful.

I hope mike finds another way to fit into the JSA group. he wants to help so badly.

Agree he was great and now we also know he's also looking for eclipso though we don't know why exactly, does he wnt him as an ally?

Also loved the bonding scenes this episode.

Also nice to see the introduction of jakeem. Though mike having the pen for longer would've been nice too.

Hope next eppy we also get jade again.

yeah I love Ethan Embry. he was in That Thing You do. and Empire Records. and many more movies popular movies in the 90s. but those two are my favorites
