When did post-Crisis Jonathan die? The 1990s? Man, I thought they'd let him live. I guess that must've happened after I stopped buying comics. I know that Jonathan was alive during the Death of Superman storyline in the early 1990s.
Probably so... but I'm with you, not everyone needs to follow suit.

90s I believe. He is alive in some and dead and some others.

Thanks for agreeing.

That sucks. Clark doesn't need to keep losing parents.

There's more versions than just the Smallville one
But yeah I think this is probably my fav portrayal of the characters too.

They're probably my favorite too. They were very involved in Clark's life and were always ready to hop on a plane to Metropolis whenever Clark was in trouble and I loved how welcoming they were to Lois as well.

They'd go to Metropolis even when Clark didn't ask them to
So yeah they were a good portrayal.

I just liked how funny they were. They were always good for lightening the mood.

And the way he said “mom!” After she had mentioned that she didn’t think anyone would be looking at his face

Yeah, that was clever on her part. But all those other outfits she made for him were ridiculous.
