The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website. As we want every board to have their own unique look it is preferable that you do not link to the customisations of other boards as suggested colour schemes.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes approximately two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have finished making the graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I'm not sure about colors yet, but I think these characters should be in the banner:

Clark
Lois
Jimmy
Perry

And maybe even Clark's parents?
But other than that I think that's all. I would say Lex, but he was only a main in s1 and then made a few guest appearances in s2-3.

I personally don't mind which season the photos are from. But I don't think there's really any from s4? There's some s2-3 ones here.

Does anyone have any thoughts on anything? Any particular photos you guys like?

I'd also like Cat in the banner, if possible. But yeah, mostly the ones you mentioned.

What color scheme, Jac? Should it be Superman blue or red? I've seen blue boards and it can tend to be a little overpowering.

I don’t think Cat should be in the banner. She was only in s1.

I think those colors go with the theme of the show, but maybe first we could look at something slightly different? unless others prefer that?

^ I have to agree... Cat really was only in during season 1 and not every episode in season 1 as well. Just like with Jimmy, best to use Justin's version since he was in season 2-4.

The cast clearly should be Lois & Clark front and center and in the background, Perry and Jimmy. You can include the Kents as well. Those are really the main. The only character I can make a sort of argument for is Lex because although he was only a main character in season 1, he still showed up throughout the rest of the series.

Instead of Superman blue and red, lighter/softer shades of blues, reds or yellows could possibly be used. Then it would still be Superman colors, but not so dark.

I agree that Lois, Clark, Perry, Jimmy (S2-4) and possibly the Kents should be included in the banner. I would choose the Kents over Lex because they were more important to the show overall.

Btw could any photo of Lois and Clark together be used? Like this. I know we usually do characters separate if possible, but thought I'd ask anyway

Also, are we using a photo of Clark in his Superman outfit or just in his regular clothing?

I like the dark blues in in mineral tints and nested tones. Not a fan of the purple stuff. I don't think it goes with the theme. That light blue nested tone above the dark blue one is good too. No reds?

And I was thinking a mute/pastel red.. that’s what I had mentioned.

You have any thoughts on photos? Or the ones I showed is okay?

.. As long as you take into account that it's an extra character you're adding (that's already in the banner) and therefore making everything smaller, sure. It works for The Flash due to the choice of picture, but honestly if it were a front facing picture, not sure it would work as well.
