Leighton Marissa Meester and Adam Jared Brody both starred in the movie The Oranges, which was shot in 2009 and premiered in 2012.
In September 2010 Leighton attended the after-party for Adam's movie The Romantics. They were spotted together with a group of friends at a bowling alley in Los Angeles in December 2012. In Januay 2013 Adam accompanied Leighton on a trip to Thailand. They were spotted hugging at Los Angeles Country Museum of Art on February 2nd. UsWeekly confirmed they were dating. Adam and Leighton spent the weekend after Valentine's Day together in Big Sur, California. In late April 2013 they were both cast in the movie Life Partners, which was filmed in April and May. Wonderwall reported their engagement in November 2013 with several more sites confirming the report. They married in February 2014.

•Leighton and Adam were spotted together at the LA Zoo on March 13th

•On March 24th and March 25th they were pictured together with fans in Adam's hometown San Diego.

•Leighton attended the premiere of Adam's movie Lovelace on August 6th to support him.
•The couple visited Adam's brother at the University of Wisconsin on August 11th.
• Adam and Leighton attended a birthday party at a children's hospital on September 3rd.
• Spotted at a Deerhunter concert in New York on September 19th
• Spotted together by a fan in Liberia on October 17th while visiting Adam's brother Sean
• They had an engagement party on November 10th
• Visiting Cape Town South Africa December 10th
• Spent February 12-15 in Riviera Nayarita
