Pleased Chris was nominated. I didn't think Leighton would be nominated, but I thought for sure the play would be. Oh well. She'll always have Broadway on her resume now.

I like how this article on The Hollywood Reporter about the ones who didn't get nominated inlcuded Leighton. I didn't think she was going to be nominated but it's nice to see that her performance has made an impression.

I didn't think she would either. I'm more surprised Denzel and Michelle Williams didn't get nominated.
This is all fun though, I hope she does something else on Broadway one day. |

I agree, the Tony awards are equivalent to the Oscars in theatre, it would have been highly unlikely given that she has only had 5-6 weeks experience on Broadway. I am proud enough that she got threw it with very good reviews, which is so rare for a Hollywood actress on Broadway.
In one interview (I think it was Variety) she said now opening night is over, she is free to experiment with the role. I don't know what she means by that but it sounds like she's gaining more confidence as the show is going on which will only lead to greater things So happy for Chris. I wonder whether the whole cast will attend the Tony Awards? |

I'm surprised Daniel Radcliffe went without a nomination. This is the third time he's on Broadway and his acting has been praised in all the plays.
I think there's a good chance the cast (or at least the core three) will be at the Tonys. I'd love it if Lei was a presenter. __________________

I know they are in June, but I don't know the exact date.
I hope they can be presenters too. It could help the ratings. |

It would be cute if the entire cast went to support Chris.
