TFTNT Tina And the title is so true, after Carter we got several doctors that were supposed to be new, but in a couple of episodes they were acting like pros, with all the techincal terms, patient history, prdering tests and stuff, that was always to me, cause with Carter we got to see everything, everything that he learned, even the "siplest" things like starting and IV, doing an LP, and even just being there for the patient, I don't think we ever got such a thorough development with any other new doctor that came afterwards, except for Lucy maybe.

And I love the banner of this thread

YW, everyone.
Thank you for the compliment, Ju.

Has anyone seen The Librarian series?

The Librarian: Quest for the Spear (2004)

Quote:
Noah Wyle (of television's "ER") stars as Flynn Carson, a brilliant student who, although he'd prefer to stay in college and add on to his 22 degrees, is finally forced to get a job in the real world. Landing a position at a library that secretly houses some of the greatest treasures of history, Flynn is soon hurled into a madcap adventure when one of the priceless relics, the Spear of Destiny, is pilfered from the library's vaults.
The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines (2006)

Quote:
In this highly anticipated sequel to TNT's popular action blockbuster, Noah Wyle returns as Flynn Carsen, the slightly nerdy librarian whose double life as an archaeologist leads to heart-pounding adventure and intrigue. Flynn's sober academic life is interrupted when he's called upon to once again save the world's most valuable antiquities hidden within the depths of the fabled mines of King Solomon -- this time with a stunning twist of fate.
The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice (2008)

Quote:
Librarian Flynn Carsen (Noah Wyle) must rescue a kidnapped scholar and track down the legendary Judas Chalice to save the world from a dangerous vampire, in the third installment of this popular adventure film series. Carsen teams up with a mysterious woman (Stana Katic) and sets out for New Orleans, hoping to find the powerful chalice before it falls into the hands of a cult that believes it can revive the infamous Vlad Dracul. Bob Newhart co-stars in an Emmy-nominated role.
I'm adding these to my Netflix.

I have seen some of all of them, but I've never seen a whole one. They're definitely worth watching from what I hear.

I agree with you. Neela and Lucy both had slow developments before growing confident in their abilities, but everyone else seemed to become a pro, like you say, after just a few episodes. Carter got to progress and learn at a much more natural pace and I always felt that, in the early seasons especially, Carter was the audience's perspective because he was learning about the techniques and procedures and medical jargon and the workings of the ER as we were learning about it too.

Ty: I had to remove the pictures since they are spoilerish.

Yes, I'm especially looking forward to the 3rd Librarian movie. I love Stana in Castle!

I felt exactly the same, he was just like any of us, getting scared, sick, and just not at all used to seeing the things he saw.

And I loved that, by the time he had learned the ropes and had to be a teacher, we were just as irritated by his students as he was. It was like both the audience and Carter had forgotten what it was like to be a newbie

Anyone want to take charge of a Carter survivor? I'm happy too if you can all wait until I've got a few others up and running, but any volunteers get an extra Christmas cookie from me.

I would, but I just don't have the time right now to do a survivor, but who ever does it - will do a great job. I'm looking forward to it.
