Back when Julianna turned down the $27 million to leave ER, the ladies on The View (specifically Barbara) called her crazy for turning down the money, that her career was over, that she was no spring-chicken and that she would be their doorman in 10 years time

@mariem201 I don't think someone thought you're were bashing Noah or his show;)

It is just on EW and TV by the numbers, everyone was bashing it, including the EW reviewer, but the pilot of a show is rarely good.
I can tell you that people started to bash it long time before it was aired. And It has to do with "fandoms' wars" more that with pilot's quality.
I don't pay attention to people who comment on those sites. Most of them are just fans of other shows who think that being a fan of a show means bashing everything else which can steal audience from "their" shows. Said that tastes are tastes.

If you are scared about "cancellation" we have just to wait next episode to see how much ratings drop (because theyr'e going to drop, that's for sure) but with those pilot's numbers....cross your fingers:rolleyes:

But it's a basic cable network. The pressure is not that huge compared to the Big 5 when it comes to viewer count.

True;).
But since I think Falling Skies is the most expensive TNT show, good numbers wouldn't hurt.:D

Snarky Susan 06-25-2011 01:26 AM

Yeah, but at least they have more leeway when it comes to money matters. ;)

I'm Not Dead 06-25-2011 03:48 AM

LOL, yeah in fact FS has more pressure on it because TNT has pumped so much money into it production-wise and promotion-wise. It'll be miffed if the show pulls in mediocre numbers from here on out. Hopefully it stays strong and it gets strong ratings overseas.

Snarky Susan 06-25-2011 03:53 AM

Hopefully the money pays off then.

OK, thanks. I was scared someone did.
Yeah, I have noticed that.

During the spring, people were praying for shows to get cancelled so their shows could survive.

I don't get that. Nobody wants their shows to be cancelled, so why wish someone else to lose their show?

Ridiculous.

I wish we could get TNT in Canada. Hopefully a network in Canada picks it up. It happens many times.

Showcase acquired Burn notice.

Ok Makemba sucks

Snarky Susan 06-26-2011 01:37 AM

Kem's a piece of work.

Aurora Cormier 06-26-2011 01:41 AM

I mean, sometimes she can be ok...and to be honest, of all Carter's love interests, she seems to be the one that makes more sense. But still, when they start fighting is just

As sad as everything is in Congo, he really looks happy doing his job there, I like that, he's radiant in the Christmas episode, playing with the kids :sigh: and being Santa

Snarky Susan 06-26-2011 01:51 AM

If they are still tolerable when they fight, THAT'S the sign Carter has met his match.

Aurora Cormier 06-26-2011 01:55 AM

LOL, TRUE! :rotfl: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Snarky Susan 06-26-2011 01:56 AM

So far, nada.

Aurora Cormier 06-26-2011 02:01 AM
