I like the symbolism Subtle but oh so true. Anyway Carter needs a buffer and I am afraid as nice as Wendall is she is just that - a post-Kem Pre-Abby filler. A little fluff before the serious romance begins.

By the way I was watching last week's episode with a pal and when Wendall asked Carter to dinner and he refused - my friend was like - 'umm why is she insisting? If I asked a guy out and he told me no I wouldn't beg him to come with me, I would be all mumbly and embarassed.' So true.

The only thing I really noticed about Wendall is that - if her birthday is in two weeks and this episode takes place on Christmas Eve - that'd put it really close to Abby's. Which, of course, is complete coincidence. But I'm a dork, and the fact that I was paying so little attention to what was actually said in the episode says a lot about the quality of the show right now. Blech

And did you hear when they were in the furniture store & she said something about taking in her brother and Carter said "sounds familiar." I just totally noticed that and freaked out. Hmm.. very weird.

That was a good line.
Did anyone else feel that in this episode they are setting up something between Abby and Debanco or whatever that surgeon's name is? That would be too too much. And ummm why oh why are they still insisting on this Kem thing? Can they just let it die quickly it was insufferable enough last season.

I miss their friendship - if nothing else can we at least get that back - and did I see Carter popping a pill for his back - hypocrite. Aaah maybe they are going to have Abby save him again. Not my ideal scenario but it will do.

I think Dubanko does like Abby. He's just odd that the way he goes about doing it, Abby doesn't know how to take him. The new intern, Jake, also was attracted to her. He kept eying her.

Carter's juggling Wendall and Kem. I thought it kind of sleazy what he's doing. Kissing Wendall and having Kem on the phone. He mind as well be cheating on Kem. He needs to figure out what he wants and his motivation for getting involved with woman since he let Abby go.

But even though both of them have interest from other love interest, do you notice it is still Carter who encourages Abby positivily with her patients. He has helped her grow despite how much they've hurt each other and they still help each other. I think it's interesting that in the last episode, they both each sort of had 2 potential love interest but the obvious, Carby, is right there in front of the writers. Right there in front of them. I think that was done on purpose.

There is nothing wrong with Carter taking aspiran for back pain. I take over the counter medication when my back flares up. I do think it is a reminder that Carter has an addiction by bringing up his bad back again.

I loved how Carter encourages abby to be a great dr and has complete faith in her. i loved the very genuine smile he gave when he saw Abby tell off that Dr.

Wendall is a rebound from a rebound. If Carter really was in love with Kem he would have been more enthused to hear from her and he would not have been checking out Wendall while talking to her.

I think having Wendall's birthdate so close to Abby is to remind us that Wendall is a substitute fro abby. I hope Carter realizes soon that a substitute is not as good as the real thing. Abby is so much better.
