I mean the first time watching ER after TGW was on the air and the person I was watching with (who had never seen ER) called Carol "the good wife." It was bizarre to see Julianna identified as another character instead of Carol.

I never liked it either, but I am glad Alex pushed back against the original idea to have Elizabeth leave suddenly with some love interest she had just met. That would have been the biggest disservice.

Strangely enough, I thought she was going to be a new lead character after Mark died.
I mean they even sent her to UK (which I think was really expensive), but somewhere during 9th season it all went downhill, her story with these 2 guys was really messy... idk. |
