Great point about Eddie being sidelined this season. I do agree with that. Maybe we'll get more follow up next season. That happened a little with Athena and her trauma.

I really hope so. I think based on the last scene when Albert became a firefighter, I think they will just ignore it. :(

I just figured it was because of the pandemic, and shooting and they had to concentrate on certain characters more than others. Eddie was the face of last week's episode, If it was any other season. We might have gotten more of the hospital. Or Maddie checking in on her brother, And they had to deal with Bobby and Athena, and then show Maddie in crisis.
They were focused on how Buck was dealing with it, and how he rushes into everything and this time, made a target of himself on purpose.
But there would have been so much they could have done. But I loved Buck and Eddie's scenes together.
Hopefully next season is a more normal season.

Yeah, I think the shorter season was a part of it. But I also think if they spent less time with side characters they could have focused more on the regulars.
I just wish we could have gotten at least more of it with Eddie in the hospital. Like make it 50/50 with Buck and Eddie with dealing with the shooting. That would have made me more happy with the storyline.

I'm still not going to get over Maddie quitting. Why wouldn't she take a LoA or something? A hiatus. :( I knew there was something wrong though. You could definitely tell.
I'm not sure I like how Buck and Taylor are starting things up again.. I never really liked her. Even if she did start to help. She just irks me.
Loved how Athena went into the burning building herself to save Bobby and bring down the sniper. I also liked how her and Bobby had previously apologized to each other and were talking a bit.

Yeah, it is sad to see Maddie quit her job. I hope when she gets better she will go back to it though. :sigh:
I totally agree with you about Buck and Taylor. They were my least favorite part of the episode.
And yes. Athena saving her man in the burning building. It was such a good scene.
