hmm this analysis (the video) below isn't very positive.

-they say that Doug Cockle has previously spoken negatively about Netflix's live-action series (i didn't know that) and now still worked on Sirens of the Deep. perhaps a desperate attempt to have viewers?
-i can't comment on how bad the adaptation is as i didn't read the books.
-now that they pointed it out about the art style, they are right. i do watch anime in general. it's probably why, although still appealing to the eye, i didn't think Nightmare of the Wolf was exceptional. something was missing, that art style didn't completely capture the Witcher world properly.

I would definitely agree with it not capturing the allure of this universe

too "western" perhaps, too "clean" not gritty enough.

You mean too eastern, it was a korean made film I think. It looked too anime and too little western as the story is based on medieval poland in away.

i love anime.

what they did was westernized anime. it's not unpleasant to the eye but again not fitting for the Witcher world.

Tbh I don't fully understand why you think that, as the witcher is a western fantasy universe. Shouldn't it be good in this case to westernize the anime to make it not look too asian themed (which would not fit the whitcher world).

maybe "westernized" isn't the right word for it.
