I think I heard/read somewhere that he changes the horse when it gets old but always names them Roach

I love how glitchy Roach was in the game. Like he'd be standing on top of trees or his head would disappear. He was SO bad that when this show was announced hundreds of fans begged for them to stick a glitch in. There's a scene where he randomly starts trotting backward in the far background of a shot and I think it was a homage to the game.
