Uh, the promo that aired during this week's episode of ''Black Lighting'' I was not a huge fan of. OK, so Josie in it said to Katy & this is the full quote I believe: ''I am from Riverdale. It is the murder capital of the world. I'll be fine.'' How is Riverdale the murder capital of the world? This is why there are such things in real life called ''stats'', so when things like this are said it can be checked out to know if what is being said is either hyperbole, the truth or just lies. Riverdale from what I've seen, which I think is close to if not every episode of that show is not actually portrayed as the ''murder capital of the world.'' Remember, Josie didn't say it's ''like the murder capital of the world''. She called it ''the murder capital of the world.'' I do think that Riverdale is larger than I had thought for a while it was, because I forgot that there are 2 high schools in it, which still though, my Portland suburb's town has less than 30,000 people in it & the 1 just north of me between Portland has just over 40,000 people, but does have 2 high school's & it, which still wouldn't make it the murder capital of the world. Even stranger than Riverdale being the murder capital of the world is hearing someone from their bragging about it. At least Josie didn't say: ''I am from Riverdale O.K.? SO that makes me gangsta.'' I wouldn't put it past someone from Rivedale to say that though.

I'm pretty sure Josie wasn't being literal.
She was basically just saying Riverdale has a lot of murders.
