My sister moving away yesterday has been hard, and now today my dog took a turn. We thought she was dying, and had to wait ALL day to get her to the vet. We were crying all day. We finally got her to the vet, but were told that she probably isn’t dying, but based off labs it looked like a severe flu in a senior dog… so of course we are relieved, but she’s still just as sick as when we took her in. So it’s still worrisome…

Had to put my dog down yesterday, very unexpectedly and my heart hurts so dang bad. I doubt I’ll ever get over this pain, like she took a piece of my heart with her.

I’m so sorry for your loss! My girl has been battling cancer, but as of late she had been in a remission of sorts. In fact, she seemed to act like a puppy again! So for her to take a huge turn, we are shocked. The vet said that her belly was full of tumors, and she had one that could have been near neck that could have triggered her stroke. It’s like one moment she could walk and was somewhat alert, and the next she literally couldn’t move one single muscle and her eyes kept rolling back in her head. I’m glad we took her in and had the last tests down, but I never expected to put her down… some dogs live with stokes, so I thought she would end up being ok. Never expected her to literally be “dying” after one. It’s just hard, because she was very much a part of my daily routine, and things just feel so different and all these daily moments I used to have with her, just makes me cry.

started my vacation this week. went for a family lunch today and then a circus show. i had a great time. snow storm starting tomorrow.

Sounds like a great time!

We had a baking day that failed! Everything sucks. Went out for pizza and had bad service and bad food… so today had sucked Maybe tomorrow will be better!
