Katheryn Heigl to leave Grey's Anatomy

LOS ANGELES (AP) - "Grey's Anatomy" cast member James Pickens Jr. says the medical drama will be saying goodbye to Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight.

Pickens, who plays Dr. Richard Webber on the ABC series, told Us Weekly magazine that Heigl and Knight are leaving.

Pickens says he wishes Heigl "nothing but the best," the magazine reported online Tuesday. He says his other co-star, Knight, wants to pursue other "career paths."

Publicists for Knight and for series creator Shonda Rhimes declined comment. Requests for comment from Heigl's publicist and ABC were not immediately returned.

Heigl, who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens, starred in the films "Knocked Up" and "27 Dresses," and has another movie, "The Ugly Truth," coming out.

OMG!!! I was just getting caught up on GA today (still gotta watch last Thurs eppies as they went with Private Practice) and it finally cleared up why she kept seeing Denny! He was there for her. And she just figured it out. She's sick! Though she's had funky storyline lately, I'm really going to miss her. I wonder why she's leaving? If it was her decision to pursue other things or if they just decided they didn't like her anymore?

And Knight's leaving too?? I love George! It's sooooo sad. I hate when characters leave or get killed off. *sigh*

I'm going to miss them both too. I might not even watch after they leave. George is my favorite character. That Izzie moment made me sad too.

Any news on Nick's friends?
A couple of weeks ago, Brendan was on Bones again, but I didn't see the episode until 3 days after the air date.
And Shiri hasn't been on ER much since Gates gave her the boot
I think I saw some preview the other day about a new movie Colin has out but can't remember what it is. Gotta check out his forum for some updates.

I haven't seen anybody (at least none of NICK's friends) recently. I was very sorry to see Brendan's character kicked-off the team at CSI Miami. He is, no doubt, in jail. It was so cool to have both Brendan and Adam on the same show again.
