Except for this board, the fsndom irritates me. Constructive criticism doesn't mean you are a jerk. It means some people think these writers are their friends. Guess what they aren't.

Ah, this is a ringing endorsement. I'm super picky about fic, but I loved those metas. i'll have to give this s4 rewrite a read for sure.

I also agree that this ship has some of the most amazing fanvids I've ever seen. I was just watching the Cosmic Love edit.

I think the ND writers are talented and had a lot of great ideas. i didn't even hate the death curse, because there was some beautiful angst and yearning there, which I'm all about. Pacing, however, was not their strong suit and for a show with a modest episode count, I often felt like they were throwing in filler episodes rather than driving the story (and the relationships) forward.

Yup! And I generally like filler episodes on shows because they can be so fun...but stuff is okay when you have 22 episodes...not just 13.

I was kind of surprised they did filler episodes in their literal last season. But since they were just trying to ignore the fact that they were probably getting canceled I guess they weren't really planning on that.

I just finished Virgin River Season 5a and overall really enjoyed it. I especially loved how Mel/Jack (the main couple) had storylines that did not revolve around third parties trying to break them up.

Oooo I think all the time about potential future family scenarios for Nace, but I've never thought about that one. That'd be great angst. They both did really well with emotional scenes.
