Well, those scripts were just used for S2. Because that's exactly how the Aglaeca arc was going to end. They had already shot 1x19 (2x02) and 1x20 (2x03). They just held them because of post-production I think??


Really missed Nace this episode (and Ace- 2 small scenes?! ). The text messages were sweet though...but the show really suffers when there's no Nace content.

On that note, I really want to try to finish this thread soon because I already know what title I want next!

You will probably love Nace...but it's very rough being a Nace fan...they're not like other CW couples that actually get together and stuff (and there's no guarantee they're endgame). But the chemistry is so good and there are many great scenes...so you'll get to experience that at least.

yeah I heard their very angsty and there's a curse keeping them from being together?? I have a lot of hope they are endgame it seems s4 is about finding a way to break the curse? I'm just speaking from what I've heard tbh! but yeah I can't wait to experience their whole story!

They tried for one episode...but now they're going to have new LIs. So, if they are endgame...it'll probably be like a last minute thing.

Or never... Just saying.... I don't trust the writers and I wish the stans would stop engaging with them.

Gross Prediction: Nancy sleeps with LB by the end of 4x06. The reasoning: He's in 4x06, he's "stealing her thunder", it's about halfway through the season, and the episode is rated TV-14 DV...which would suggest some kind of suggestive stuff. And it doesn't take much for Nancy to hook up with someone especially with everyone and their mother encouraging her to give up and move on. It's her "coping mechanism".

The only other thing we don't know if the whole Ace's LI thing...it could be this one girl who's in next week's episode but that means they probably changed her name and that the audition scene was 100% fake? Also, it doesn't really explain why she's still around later in the season with Carson/Ryan...but who knows maybe she likes older men? Or it's still someone we have zero clue about. It seems really random if they don't like have her possessed because that was a big part of the audition scene?? But honestly...I don't know or care. They will all be FFed anyway.

And of course I could see the writers even stooping to a lower place by having Ace say he can't go through with it...while Nancy does.

I really wish I had an answer for that. I think they know that they're a big part of the fandom and wanted people to watch...but now it's the last season...so viewership doesn't really matter.

In my opinion, they don't want to write them as a couple because they need Nancy single to 1) push whatever the season plot is and 2) because she's their self-insert. Having her in a loving, monogamous relationship with Ace interferes with their goals.

I personally think the big kiss scene in 4x03 was a thank you gift to the fans for supporting the show, but that's really it. I don't foresee much more Nace this season outside a couple of scenes...probably group scenes. I think they'll be relegated to their own storylines...and this curse is just a way to keep them apart, so they don't have to deal with them. I don't think they ever planned on breaking it.

But...I have a very unpopular opinion. The rest of the fandom has a parasocial relationship with the writers and actors and think they can do no wrong. I really wish people were less gullible...but it is what it is now.

I will always love Nace and what they could have been. It's just sad that the writers don't feel the same.
