I do too. It's such an intimate moment. I honestly wish they would have included this shot in the episode, but I get why the camera was so close to their faces in order to capture the emotions. :bawl:

gold-steps 06-04-2022 07:10 PM

Just the way they hold each other there looks so intimate

broken crown 06-04-2022 08:15 PM

They were just breathing each other in...

There's been so many moments like that already...mostly in Nancy's head though! :bawl: :goof:

gold-steps 06-04-2022 08:22 PM

And they're holding each other so tight

We just need real Nace moments!

You know what I was thinking? What if there's a twist with the whole curse? Like they probably won't do this...but what if there is no curse and it's just the idea of the curse...and the glass breaking on the barometer is just Tempe using psychological warfare against Nancy? And the whole "idea" of the curse is actually THE CURSE.

Do you get what I mean?

Muffy_Simba 06-04-2022 08:49 PM

We talked about this before, but I never want to hear either one say, "It's always been you." I hate when TV does that. Part of me actually thought about that recently. What if it's not an actual curse? Because if it's really real. How do you break it without it being too easy or too complicated? We have already seen how they handled S3. :roller:

gold-steps 06-04-2022 08:49 PM

Oh I kind of like that! She's basically gaslighting them into thinking there is one. And it only has power because they think it exists.

Okay, now I want this to happen specifically so I can dedicate it to Muffy. :lmao:

It is pretty corny though.

I mean I've seen a fic handle it like that...but then again I've seen MANY post-S3 fics where they deal with the curse in a variety of ways. It just depends.

I kind of hope they handle it like a quest storyline where they have to get X amount of things or do X amount of things to break the curse. And it would be Nancy and Ace working together to do it.

Ace absolutely needs to find out by the end of 4x01...of if there's a few days gap between 3x13 and 4x01 than it's just Ace confirming his suspicions.

Like it doesn't need to be the focus of every single episode...but there needs to be a plan. I don't want it to be either Ace trying to break it by himself or Nancy trying to break it by herself while Ace knows nothing.

There's so much angst and drama you can get from mutual pining especially if they're right there in front of you. Ace has been Nancy's go-to guy for so long. Plus, he's her "man in the chair". They need to come to terms with this ASAP. I definitely don't want this going on all season no matter how many episodes they get because it would get boring fast and lose all the intensity it's supposed to create. Let's break the curse, so we can actually SEE them being that power couple.

Muffy_Simba 06-04-2022 09:29 PM

If that is said. Then, curses truly are real! :lmao:

Am I the only one who thinks they should have help outside of the Drew Crew? Like in the back half the season. Lady Jafar cannot be the only centuries old witch out there.

Lady Jafar! :lmao:

I agree with you about getting outside help. Wouldn't it be funny if Gil came back because he knew where to find a rare artifact or ingredient for an elixir or something?

I love the idea that she is just messing with their heads with the glass breaking.

I’m just trying to think about what direction they will take with this curse. All I know is that it should be an arc, not a whole season thing. They don’t know if they will get S5…so they shouldn’t waste this season like they basically did with S3.

ds44 06-05-2022 07:20 AM

I will be screaming in horror if it lasts the whole season. Just NO.

I know, but I truly believe it will depend on their episode count. Also, since they're premiering mid season. No 4x09 mid season finale. We know they're not above dragging this out. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes with CBS, WB and the CW, so I really wish TPTB do not play stupid games. Besides Riverdale ending and the Flash probably ending. We don't what will be next on the chopping block. Maybe we get lucky and renews are announced early next year. We don't know the status of the sale.

I'll be screaming with you.

I don't care how many episodes they have. I don't care if they have 13 episodes or 22 episodes. They need to resolve this curse thing by mid-season...whenever that is. I actually want to see them be a couple. There is no guarantee that there will be a Season 5. They need to stop acting in such bad faith. It's incredible.

Also, the fandom at large needs to be way more grateful that we got another season instead of acting like this is going to be a 10 season show and there's all this time for nonsense.
