I did a little looking around the fandom and you are right about how "animated" the fandom is, esp about the ships?

I mean if they want Aang and Katara to end up...it'll have to be like wayyyy later on. I'm not even sure they have that kind of chemistry...but we'll see.

They remind me a bit of Anakin/Padme in Star Wars...but it was 10 years later from when they met that they got together and then...well...there wasn't a happy ending.

I mean nothing really surprises me anymore with fandom but the fanbase is pretty intense for a children's cartoon
