Yeah sometimes shows like to make angst about one part of the couple saying it and the other one not being ready to. I'm glad this show moved past that trope and had Nick be so understanding and loving George more for it.

Exactly! That trope is well-known and I'm glad they subverted it on the show. That way it'll be a big deal when George says it on the show to Nick!

. They haven't been together that long, but in Nick's mind I'm sure he wanted to say it to George in case they wouldn't get another chance to. And I also understand why George wasn't ready to say it back and that Nick understood that and wasn't looking for her to reciprocate. It was just beautifully done and on point for their characters.

I think they're taking an interesting path with them...obviously some "stuff" is sped up by the Aglaeca threat...but they kept enough tension there when George is ready to say "I love you."

Yeah! They haven't been together a super long time but they're doing a good job of keeping the tension so far!
