The Owen thing was WILD. The only time they actually mentioned him by name was in 2x02 and that episode was already filmed before the pandemic shutdown. The only other time "her boyfriend" was referenced was 2x07. Nancy basically didn't care because I HONESTLY believe the showrunners wanted to erase him due to the BTS bad behavior of the actor.

Yeah Val was NEVER mentioned again. Not even a line from Ryan saying that she was safe, but they decided to call off their relationship or something? So weird.

I hope Park is never seen or heard from again.

It is kind of weird how they never really acknowledge characters once they're gone. Owen dying should have been really traumatic for Nancy and they haven't even acknowledged that. And it's weird they haven't mentioned Val, not even to say she's okay or anything.

I remember one of the early quotes about Season 2 was about Nancy was going to seriously grieve or Owen (or something along those lines). I kept waiting for it to happen...but it just didn't. He was essentially erased from the show. I can definitely understand why the hardcore Nancy/Owen fans were mad, but I never thought he was anything but a pit stop for her character. It was incredibly obvious he was always meant to be a plot device (at first for Nancy/Nick...but when they decided to go for Nick/George and ultimately Nancy/Ace...he was literally dead weight....).

Oh yeah I remember they said a few things about season 2 early on that ended up not happening. It sounds like they changed a bit from what they were originally thinking. But yeah Nancy and Owen were never going to be endgame.

And yeah I remember reading about the actor's behavior (I think I read it on here) it wouldn't surprise me if the writers just wanted to pretend like his character never existed.
