But Kate did find her so I think there was one, but then Kate felt she was wrong since she got no response. So while Beth wants to say there isn't one, she didn't respond to Kate so she's just to blame. Although it does make sense why she didn't, she was scared, but she can't really blame Kate for not knowing that she was on the other side of the door. Did she know Kate was there before she spoke? I doubt it. Just would've been hope - just as much as Kate had

Yeah, you're right. That was unfair, to make Kate feel worse than she already did. But that was her motive, to make Kate and their dad hurt/feel guilt for forgetting her. And just the way Alice said it. She made Kate tear up too. I almost lost it there.

IT may be her goal, but I think she also in her warped way believes it too. Then for her it would've been like she was abandoned by her family. She wouldn't be able to see the other side, & even poor Kate would just feel awful & not see it either

& yet somehow I also wonder if the crisis will make Kate reconsider it or see anything differently

even if it makes her hate Alice even more or feel more inspired in ways to stop her...

I think so. She may have a heart to heart with Kara and that will change things. She had a similar experience with Lena in a way.
