For all the people throwing their names into consideration publicly, there's one person that the producers may be considering who, quite frankly, is the perfect fit as a seamless replacement for Ruby but who hasn't been mentioned: Peyton Elizabeth List (Lt. Rizzo on Star Trek Picard).I
She's got "name" recognition, is the same age as Ruby, looks physically similar to her, and already knows both what it takes to lead a series from her starring role in Frequency and how Arrowverse series production works from her recurring role on The Flash as Lisa Snart. The one unknown factor with her is her sexual orientation since she hasn't spoken about that subject publicly. __________________

I feel like I've seen Peyton in everything lately.
Then it would also be nice to have someone who actually isn't well known, to give them more recognition if they're a talented actress  I still am going to have to get used to not seeing Ruby. She was brilliant in this role. __________________

If Peyton is the producers' choice to be the new Kate Kane, the thing that could be holding up an official announcement may be her recurring role on Star Trek Picard.
