Alice's real identity was never something the show's creators had any intention of keeping secret or hiding, so there's no reason for it to be kept secret here either.

IOW, it could have been part of this thread title from the moment it was first made.

I wasn’t sure they were going that route at first. I think only comic fans would have known.

Makes sense if we want to wait at least 3 days so 2 more days work.

Yeah I only knew because I looked up the comic things. Although they've certainly said things to confirm that they are going down that path. I just think since it can take some days for some to see it is nice for them not to necessarily see it straight off. I guess my mind also automatically goes there, can't help it

To sort of follow up on and clarify my earlier comment, I don't think Alice being Beth is a spoiler, which is why I don't think it needed to be "hidden".

I understood your first post & as far as I know Cece did too? But to me I disagree as it wasn't actually a necessarily known fact. If you looked up the character she was just Alice - the leader of the gang. She wasn't revealed as the sister until the episode. It is only if you were already familiar with the comics then you'd know, & if you followed everything which was said about the upcoming show I believe it had been mentioned/confirmed they would go down that path. But otherwise no you'd have no idea. So it is a spoiler because the name 'Kane' would automatically make people question if the character is related. So that would take away the surprise for those people when the episode aired. Then had they not revealed it straight away people could've remained in the dark if they weren't otherwise aware so it would've been a spoiler. Some people would not have wanted to come on the board & see Kane there & find out something that they didn't already know

Then both Cece & my posts show that not everyone knew the truth - so if it wasn't for our own research or the speculation/discussion in this thread we wouldn't have known so the title itself would've been a spoiler for us had it already been in there

It was a good twist in the comics too. Unfortunately it took a while for that particular arc to be resolved since it was before Batwoman had her own series.

Even though Alice being Beth might not have been "common knowledge" , I don't consider it to be a spoiler, but that's ultimately neither here nor there.

It would change how you see the character. She isn't just a villain but someone targeting her family. Certainly not a huge spoiler but could be one for some

That is a shame about the comics. Hopefully the show does better
