I liked the show and Zendaya did such a great job. Even though I wished there were commercials so I could get a breather (I know it's HBO but still lol) cause the show was very heavy but at the same time, all the complaining about how graphic the show is was OTT IMO. I don't think it was any worse than any other show that airs on HBO. I enjoyed the first episode and I look forward to more.

I liked the pilot. nice start. yeah I was expecting some crazy scenes because of how people were freaking out but it wasn't that over the top

I like Rue she's a mess but still likable. also like her sister Gia.
Jules is interesting too. I like how Rues was also intrigued by her after the kitchen scene. lol
McKay/Cassie i like too.
I wanted more Kat scenes.
Ugh Nate annoyed me the whole episode. I can tell I wont like him.

Everyone talked about a full frontal scene,but I never saw it. I watched twice and never did. is Jules trans?

I liked this show,even if the blatant misogyny made me want to vomit.

Yeah, I heard about all these naked guys in full frontal scenes and it didn't happen lol. I just remember the guy that was with Jules in the motel room. They showed his penis as he put the condom on, that's it. Yes, Jules in Trans in the show and real life I heard.

I don't think I saw a full frontal nude scene either. I mean we saw a lot with Cassie's nude photos, but I don't think there was completely full frontal?

And yes, we already discussed a few times that Jules is transgender.. both irl and in the show.

I'm already disliking Nate. He just treats girls like trash and whores. I think I'm okay with pretty much all the teen characters, except Nate.

I hope that Rue gets clean soon. It was sad seeing the flashback of when Gia found her when she overdosed.

Yeah, the actor talked about it, but I didn't see it at all. She's extremely pretty and I think the dude would have noticed that she hadn't fully transitioned.

Every male character was a jerkoff except for Rue's friend. McKay bought into peer pressure and he was abusive. The girl characters are all behaving like typical teens.

Yeah caved to the peer pressure. but I think he's a good guy. we saw him trying to defend Cassie when they were talking a out her in the video and even when Nate was messing with Jules on side the road. Hopefully he stands up to Nate.

That makes him weak at the very least. He buys into toxic masculinity, buys Nate's b.s. and decides to get unnecessarily aggressive with his poor girlfriend. It's like she said-He needs permission before he does freaky things like that.

A real man wouldn't listen to any opinions but his own, let people get involved with his relationship and treat his lady(and all ladies) with love and respect. You don't ever ever lay a hand on a woman or do something without her permission and consent.

I think he can redeem himself by not doing that s**t ever again. He needs to tell Nate, his kid brothers and those jocks to stfu. I don't see anyone being interested in those two s. Nate is bitter about his breakup and those other guys might just be jealous. If he stands up to Nate and shuts down his kid brothers. They shouldn't have even been around, but Nate is a jerk. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I don't get why everyone is so outraged. I was shocked as hell, but I still enjoyed it a lot. It's HBO and frankly, buying premium tv means you'll see boobs, violence and whatever the hell the show wants. No one said it's a show for children. In fact, Zendaya specifically warned everyone that it's triggering and graphic.

Now Apocalypse is so much worse. I wanted to watch n/c of Avan Jogia, but it wasn't to my tastes. That many sex scenes in a row felt like porn. My dad watched Game of Thrones with me on and off and the same goes for Outlander. Now Apocalypse disgusted him.

Teenagers do get up to messed up things and tbh, it's not new. Skins touched upon it in both countries and in the 90's, KIDS and a few other movies showed extreme stuff. I disagree about it being Gen Z. It applies to X and Y, too. Their experiences were different based on the time/era and tech. That's about it.
