It sounds like it is going to be a much better season then season 2 was, and not just for Malex, but for the show as a whole.

The entire vibe with the cast has is different. Last year before season 2 hit.. Vlamis was promoting both his relationships with Maria and Alex, because the narrative was unfortunately pushing a love triangle. But the love triangle was doomed.. the narrative was/is heavily aligned with Michael/Alex being the main love connection for Michael in this show. Some fans may not like it, but it's all there.. right within the show. Michael was always going to come back to Alex.. Alex has been set up since the first episode to be Michael's home on this planet. The promo for this season, especially by cast and the writers and crew have been hyping up Echo and Malex. Vlamis is giddy.. it's like he cannot wait to tell us all the Malex secrets for this season. Vlamis is going all in for Malex this season and I for one love it.

^ Agreed. The lead up to this season is completely different. For season 2, it’s like they were trying to warn Malex fans that we weren’t going to actually see them be a couple for a while
This time it just feels better, like they are finally back to what they always should have been.__________________

Yeah I think they wanted to make things fun for themselves too. I think we can all agree that season two was a dumpster fire that dragged everything down.
So I think everyone, cast and crew included, just wanted a break and to do something fun to make up for the annoyance of last season. Like a palate cleanser for everyone to enjoy, considering the stuff I have seen the rest of the cast and company get up to with all sorts of different stories. It's almost April, they must be coming up with a teaser sooner or later. __________________
