Alex is a military veteran who suffers from physical and psychological trauma. In order to
live up to his father's expectations, Alex gave up on the man he loves and their future togeth
-er. Alex joined the air force and was deployed three times to Iraq. He lost part of his leg and now
wears a prosthetic, and he received a purple heart for his service. When he returned to Roswell,
he was celebrated as a war hero.

Exactly.. I always feel so proud when Tyler says how much playing Alex has meant to him.. I don't even know why.. I just really love him!!!

I how playing Alex helped him come to peace with his coming out as bi and openly able to be with Chandler

I love how you see an actor talking about how the LGBT character helped someone come out or helped their family realize and accept an LGBT person.

And here with this show and this character, it's Tyler's character Alex, helping Tyler come to terms with his own sexuality. And being out and proud and being out with his relationship. Not that I don't think Tyler was ever in, (I could be wrong on that, though he never seem to be hiding his relationship with Chandler) I think he just didn't voice it out loud to people.

Every time someone comes out and speaks the truth, the world is a better place.

I'm looking forward to Alex taking charge and taking names. Alex is a pretty good action hero.
