I feel the same about the Presidential debates. You're not gonna beat Donald Trump if you start saying you'll decriminalize illegal border crossings, give healthcare to illegal immigrants, eliminate private health insurance for 150 million people and create "healthcare for all" while increasing taxes on the middle class, support abortion rights for transgendered women(who have no actual uteruses), and move so far to the left on every issue that you'll align yourselves with every progressive politician who's been getting annihilated in elections across Europe, South America, and Australia.

The US election setup is ridiculous. First the candidates have to please their party by going way right or way left, then they have to convince the middle that they're ok.

Yep. :rolleyes: And Biden stepped in it again, this time at a fund raiser in Seattle, saying how it was just a few years ago that people could make jokes about a gay waiter there, but not anymore, which is how much progress has been made. The Seattle crowd didn't think it was funny and told him that people couldn't make those jokes in Seattle even several years ago. :rolleyes:
