Thanks. :)

PhoenixRising 07-23-2021 02:56 PM

You're welcome. ;)

sum1 07-24-2021 12:55 PM

I'd better be, it's my board! ;)

PhoenixRising 07-24-2021 04:43 PM

Yeah, I know. :P

sum1 07-26-2021 07:17 AM

Who do you think you are, Han Solo? :P "I know," he says. ;)

PhoenixRising 07-26-2021 05:41 PM

No. I did once think I was Indiana Jones, though. ;)

sum1 07-27-2021 07:24 AM

Weirdo. :P

PhoenixRising 07-27-2021 07:45 PM

Hey, didn't everyone? :P

sum1 07-29-2021 07:18 AM

I didn't have that delusion. :P

PhoenixRising 07-29-2021 03:38 PM

Well, okay.

At least I didn't have a James Bond delusion. :P I instead imagined my own character who was with the CIA Special Activities Division. Of course, they recently changed their name to Special Activities Center in 2016. These are special paramilitary operations officers in the CIA that are recruited from Tier 1 Special Missions Units in the US Special Operations Command, namely Army Delta Force, Navy SEAL Team 6, Air Force 24th Special Tactics Squadron, and Army Intelligence Support Activity.

sum1 07-30-2021 02:59 PM

So you were Felix Leiter?

PhoenixRising 07-30-2021 03:02 PM

Nope. :P Felix Leiter was with clandestine operations, but he wasn't in Special Activities Divison. He looked like he was more into what today would be called Special Operations Group, which is more about covert political action. Those units didn't exist until 1962, so I'm not sure what Felix Leiter's group affiliation in the CIA would be.

sum1 07-31-2021 10:57 AM

He got chewed up by a shark in one film.

PhoenixRising 07-31-2021 04:42 PM

That was Licence To Kill.

sum1 08-01-2021 07:34 AM

The only good James Bond film.

PhoenixRising 08-01-2021 02:59 PM

It felt more like an 80s action film, like Lethal Weapon.

sum1 08-02-2021 01:40 PM

Except without the antisemite.

PhoenixRising 08-02-2021 04:33 PM

Well, yeah. But I meant in the general style of filmmaking, similar to other action films of the 1980s. And to top it off, Michael Kamen composed the score for Licence To Kill. He became the sound of late 80s-early 90s action, composing the music for Licence To Kill, Highlander, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Road House, Lethal Weapon 2, Die Hard 2, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Last Boy Scout, etc.

sum1 08-03-2021 08:06 AM

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was a load of shight.

PhoenixRising 08-03-2021 04:30 PM

Not gonna argue with that.

sum1 08-03-2021 10:44 PM

PhoenixRising 08-04-2021 04:49 PM

I don't know what they were thinking casting Costner.

sum1 08-05-2021 02:14 PM

He's too American to be Robin Hood.
