Yeah! I hear it's in 30 cities so far. I can certainly understand and agree with the outrage over George Floyd's death, but this rioting is just pointless. Protests are one thing, rioting another. Rioting helps no one. But things have got to change. Black people in America now live with the awareness that their country is run by a man who hates them. Kick out Trump and start reforming policing.

Philadelphia did have riots, Rita. My job closed down today, so I ended up having to walk home after I got to work and no one was there.


I agree, sum1. But this started before Trump. This was happening during Obama's administration as well, when there were riots across the country in Missouri, Maryland, North Carolina, and elsewhere after the deaths of Michael Brown, Eric Gardner, and Freddie Gray. The police departments and law enforcement agencies need to reform their organizations, not just in training, but how they recruit and screen applicants as well. Most cops are not like this, but it's clear that there are many who do not belong in uniform. Also, when someone like Derek Chauvin and Tou Thau have multiple complaints made against them they shouldn't be on the street. Either put them behind a desk or fire them before it's too late.

There was more widespread rioting this time than any time since the '60s. It's the Trump effect.

those scenes of the riots, the fights in the streets, reminds me of the 1989 revolution. Oftentimes, it was the police or military choosing the side of the protesters that was the deciding factor in local disputes. #TrumpDictator

Not just in America. There have been protests around the world. It's going to spread the disease. A pandemic is not a good time to have mass gatherings.
