hard to tell.

PhoenixRising 02-17-2022 07:10 PM

Do I wanna know?

Getting suspicious of your horror of things Irish, Rita. :P ;)You not appreciating Katie McGrath's looks, that's just weird, particularly seeing as you're all over the average-looking Jennifer Lawrence. Katie McGrath is stunning in a very Irish way. Saying she's not good-looking is like burning the tri-colour. :P ;) (Don't worry, Rita, not too serious. :))

I did like the landscape when I visited..

PhoenixRising 02-18-2022 07:55 PM

Katie is a hottie.

I also like Saoirse Ronan.

sum1 02-19-2022 05:57 AM

Katie and Saoirse are great. So is the Irish landscape.

I'm not personally very attracted to Saoirse the way I am to Katie, but I love her acting. She's got great presence, genuineness and relatability. And her work is very fine-tuned. Watch Byzantium for a great performance by her in a classy Neil Jordan vampire film. Gemma Arterton is in there too and she's great, even if her voice takes a bit of getting used to.

PhoenixRising 02-19-2022 07:19 PM

Saoirse was in a vampire film? And Neil Jordan did another vampire movie?

I couldn't stand Interview With The Vampire. I read the book, and the film was a big letdown.

sum1 02-19-2022 09:29 PM

That film was good. Overdone, but good.

wickedrum 02-20-2022 11:56 AM

nah, Tom Cruise should stick with MI, he's not good at anything else.

PhoenixRising 02-20-2022 06:57 PM

Thanks, Rita. I agree that Tom was miscast.

sum1 02-21-2022 03:00 PM

Who cares about Tom Cruise? Of course he was terrible as Lestat, but the film belongs to Brad Pitt, who was excellent in it, even if he hated it. It's a fine, atmospheric piece of Neil Jordan filmmaking. It does take some getting used to. The fist time I saw it I hated it too.

PhoenixRising 02-21-2022 08:46 PM

Of course.

River Phoenix was supposed to play Lestat.

sum1 03-06-2022 08:20 AM

I can't see that. River was funny-looking.

PhoenixRising 03-06-2022 09:31 PM

He was also supposed to be Jack Dawson in Titanic. :P James Cameron wrote the part with him in mind back in 1993 when he was filming True Lies.
