Fan Forum - Boba Fett Unappreciation Thread #2

This is a thread for beating up the overrated wanker who brought Han to Jabba. And you can bash his Prequel counterpart Jango Fett here too, if you like, even if it isn't directly Harrison-related. A big clap for Han for killing Boba when he couldn't even see the guy. :clap:

The only thing Boba Fett ever had going for him was the snazzy costume. And the rocketpack, don't forget the rocketpack! Which killed him. From the start he was marketed as this super-cool character, with the newspaper strips promoting him as invulnerable in his armour, which made no sense seeing as his armour didn't cover all of him. He was promoted in a useless animated segment in the awful Star Wars Holiday Special, and an early parade before ESB was released had somebody fitted with a Boba costume to promote the character. In other words, Lucasfilm set out to make this character a sensation from the start. Human beings being dumb, fans lapped it up and he became a fan favorite for no good reason whatsoever. As the expanded universe developed he was resurrected and given a lot of attention. He was shown in a comic nearly beating Vader in single combat. He was elevated to being the best combatant in the galaxy. When his "father" Jango was invented for the Prequels a comic showed Jango killing lots of Jedis with his his bare hands while being unarmed. Sickening. I've hated Boba since I was a kid in the '80s and I hated Jango since he first appeared.
