Buffy was actually mentioned on Charmed in 1x17 I think when they were going to Jackson Ward's gravestone I believe in the cemetery.

It is unfortunately. Doesn't fully surprise me though. tbh I don't really understand the need to have huge crossover events but little things & one-offs can be a nice treat for fans. But just having references to shows can be nice too
