[Si_Crazy]

This is a thread where we create an icon based on the theme, and have a challenge to see whose icon is the best. Depending on the amount of entries there's going to be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

The Rules

• You may only use the images provided. (You may blend them, if desired.)
• Text, brushes, and stock are allowed unless otherwise stated.
• All icons must be 100x100.
• To submit your icon, please PM the current moderator that is handling the challenge.
• During a challenge round, please do not display your submitted icon on your LiveJournal account or at Fan Forum. These challenges are to remain anonymous.

Challenge: Use THIS texture by Foxxie-Chan

The Rules

• Make an icon using THIS texture by Foxxie-Chan
• You may use texture, brushes if you want.
• You may also make text icon, using quotes/song lyrics/etc.
• All icons must be 100x100. No animation allowed.
• Only 1 icon per person per submission.
• To submit your icons, PM it to Si.
• During a challenge round, please do not display your submitted icon(s) on your LiveJournal, tumblr or at FanForum. These challenges are to remain anonymous.

Can't wait to see what people come up with Going to skip this one cause even when I had Photoshop never got the hang of textures so being downgraded to an online alternate just going to bypass the challenge without even trying

Not related to this challenge Sarah, but have you tried GIMP? That might give you more features to play around with than your online program. It won't help you with textures, you'd need a tutorial for that, but just having more features to play with again might be nice for you

Ah ok, I think GIMP should work on that. If not maybe look into pixlr? There might be Adobe Photoshop basic apps you can download too

Cool I don't know what you're using & didn't realise that it was the operating system that was the issue. I just was thinking about GIMP so thought I'd suggest . So long as what you've got makes you happy & does what you want . Other programs may allow you to experiment more or with other types of art should you ever wish to if what you're using now doesn't

I'll probably try to make something for this tomorrow, have 2 weeks off work now so hope I can dedicate some time to some fanart
