Hi everyone!

We are holding the annual Holiday Fan Art competition again this year and we're happy to announce that starting in 2022 we will be inviting you to submit holiday-themed icons into the competition too!

For rules, information, a list of all of the boards that are participating, and a place to ask any questions, please visit this thread on the Info Center board. Information regarding the icon side of the competition can be found in the second post. Everyone is encouraged to participate in any way that they can. You are more than welcome to submit to both the Holiday Fan Art Competition and the Holiday Icon Set Competition. Please read the rules for both parts of the competition before submitting.


Rules:

• You can submit a holiday-themed set of 3-5 icons per category. You are free to use any technique (brushes, textures etc...). For help and tutorials, the Fan Art board is a great place to find it.
• The icons you submit must be exactly 100x100 pixels in size and in JPEG or PNG format. No animated icons are allowed.
• Final submissions should be a separate post in the thread marked with the words "to submit it for the competition - [category]" in red. This way, we will know that it is the final version of the art you would like to submit. Please specify which category your submission is for, as well as the subject of your icon set. It will be linked on the beginning post of the thread, updated frequently. If you do not see your art on that post a few days after you post it, please PM one of the GT Managers (Mel, Chelle, or Kate). The moderators of every board are responsible to add the arts to the OP by the deadline. Any art that hasn't been added in by 24 hours after the deadline won't be included in the polls.
• You may submit to as many categories as you wish, but it must be no more than 5 icons per category. You may most certainly make more and post it on the thread for people to see, however you may only submit 5 for the competition per category. There is no limit to how many boards you can submit an art for.

If you have any submissions for this board, please make sure that you follow all of the rules (listed above) and post your entries on this thread.

I am not sure what you mean? Holiday themed icons are open to your interpretation, the same as the holiday fan art competition. There is no set way to make things, the art just must follow the rules.

Can the icons be a shape or do they have to be the square default for ?

What you do within the 100x100 pixels space is entirely up to you so long as it meets all other rules & by your interpretation is holiday themed. The icons do not need to meet criteria of 100 KB but you may wish to ensure they do if you wish others to be able to use them.

Yes, you can submit to as many categories as you wish, with a maximum of 5 icons per set.

Keep in mind that it must be a set of 3-5 icons per category. It can't be 3-5 random icons, they need to go together.

No, they can be any topic you'd like. Just so long as the set is of the same topic.
