I find the 1 vs 1 goes so quickly & is easy to forget. I never know what stage its up to either but I think that's more because of how irregularly I check the thread.

I'd be happy to see the icon challenge run more frequently. So once the winners are announced maybe a week later we start a new one? But I get that entries may be lower so that may be a reason to not do it (although I'd blame the topic last time as it is hard to look forward to things with the state of the world right now)

Maybe some challenges for different types of arts not just icons?

Yeah, as Sarah mentioned we do have the 1vs1 that is weekly, and we're getting winners to pick screencaps so everyone get some input. The schedule is I post the voting on Friday evening, and voting goes till Sunday (or til the ties are broken), submissions are open all the time, as soon as the vote goes up we can receive icons for the next one.

I can try to increase the frequency of the Icon Challenge, at the moment it's done once a month, but maybe we can do that every two weeks. I say we give this a try

The Themes for Fanart is open for any type of arts, although there is no vote, so maybe that's what is not appealing. I know we have a sort of Graphic Challenge, I'll go try to revive it

I think that's what confuses me - you're always accepting entries, regardless of if you are voting or just posted winners.

For the icon challenge I think if you just waited a week (or 5-7 days) between posting the winners & setting up the next challenge it gives people a break & time to congratulate the winners but its not as long as the once a month. Hopefully it has interest & its not too much

Yeah I'd say the lack of voting could be the case for the themes, I don't know. Part of my issue is I forget to check those threads to see when new ones are posted/forget to make art for them

I have been posting updates in this thread regarding new themes and updates on challenges, so subscribing to only this one could do the trick for you girls

I'm working on revamp some of the challenge threads that Paula and I hadn't brought back yet, hopefully that will excite more artists in joining us

Still, if you guys have more ideas, suggestions, please let me know

I think the issue with the 1 vs 1 for me is that I caught it halfway through so I didn't understand the schedule, so all it was for voting, if i had participated near the beginning I would have been more invested.

For me I check out the challenges but I am not always inspired enough/have time for stuff like 20in20s, and banner challenges would be good too, but it seems like you're taking it on board.

see i wouldn't mind a banner one give us images or a theme and we can do that , i say we can do 3 or 4 of them for each person than that is a few images to vote a week.

i like the idea one where you ask who is your fav celeb fav singer and choose what type of art work you want to do for it

Yeah, although banners take longer to make, it might get more people to participate because instead of making a bunch of icons, people can take their time and make something bigger - and I think there's more scope for creativity with banners.

Maybe you could do a rotating monthly challenge & see what interest there is for different sorts of art challenges?

E.G.

March - Banner
April - Wallpaper
May - Gif
June - Picspam
ect.

Anything which didn't seem to get much entries/interest may not be worth doing more regular challenges for, while ones which did get a lot of entries/interest could be worth looking at doing more regular challenges for

There's also a lot of different photography challenges where you post certain things each day fitting a theme so maybe we could do something like that?

The banners/graphic seems to be a favorite, so I'm studying a way to bring that thread back first.

And I like Chelle's idea of rotating the type of challenges

As for the photography challenges, I think it sort of resembles those 30 Days of... which is already something I'm working on to bring here

Unless that's not what you mean, then I would really love to hear more about what you're thinking so we could also implement here (we do have a photography thread)
