20in20: Make 20 Icons in 20 Days! (Sign Up)
 

Here you will claim an actor, actress, character, couple, TV show, music artist, or movie. You will have 20 days to make 20 icons of that subject. There will be 10 separate themes set, for which you will make one icon each. There will be a category set, for which you will make 5 icons; you will also be able to make another 5 icons of your choice.

You may use any type of images whether that may be screencaps, photoshoots, or advertisements... nothing that hasn’t aired yet, though!

Rules:

Your icons must be made fresh for 20in20. Don't use any old ones!

100x100 in size. No more, no less!

No animation allowed.

You must follow this all the way through. If you don't think you can, please refrain from entering.

One week from today (July 19th), we still start the count down to 20 days. I will also post the themes. Deadline is: August 7th at 6 PM EST.

Once the deadline is up, please send all icons to Rella or I. We will then have a voting for the best in themes, category set, and artist's choice.

I voted, too, even though I'm in there... I just avoided my own icons (which wasn't too hard since I always found one that I liked better :lol:)

One question.. if there's two options for a second place icon and two for a third place icon, and second place icon number #2 gets more than #5, will then the #5 icon became third place or will it just be put away and then a thrid place tie icon which had gotten less votes in the inital vote get the third place? I hope you got what i mean :P

I get what you mean and I was wondering the same thing. :lol: I thought perhaps this would go like in sports that if two icons tie for second place (or third place etc.) then there are two second place finishers and no third place finishers at all. :lol: But maybe it doesn't work for this challenge.

I was thinking the same thing, and was weighing on how I was going to go about it. I was planning on using the votes you guys are sending me now, and basically "starting over". And which ever icons win, those will be the winners... in their rightful place that they are now. :nod: I think it gives a chance for all to win. Is this okay? Or did you guys want to go about it another way?

Just for example:

1st icon has 5 votes, whereas the 2nd icon only has 3. The first icon would win. And so on. If we happen to have a tie with the votes you are sending, those icons that are tied together, would win. :nod:

Or then that the icon who "loses" the tie voting on the second place would get the third place.

If one of the icons loses the tie voting, then they would just be done with. No moving up or down in places. :)

But would that be fair? Because for example the icons that tied for second place got more votes than the icons in the 3rd, 4th etc. place anyway, right? :confused:

If icons tied for 2nd place and got more votes then 3rd or 4th, then naturally they would stay in 2nd place.

Oh, I thought you meant the losing one would just "disappear". :lol: So they would still technically tie?
