Episode Discussion - 1x06: No Matter The Cost

As Conrad battles a group of overly aggressive attending physicians on behalf of a patient with a mysterious chronic ailment, he also must face off against his father who has shown up at the hospital unannounced. When Mina goes out of her way to help a young man from her neighborhood who almost mugged her, Nic offers her assistance and discovers a secret that Mina has been keeping behind closed doors. While away from the hospital, Nic enlists the help of Devon to keep an eye on Lily, which leads him to an incredible find that has him questioning Dr. Lane’s motives. Also, Renata’s plans to poach a renowned surgeon from another hospital hit a standstill when Bell decides he doesn’t agree with him.

My favorite episode of the season. Wow. That was good.

Need more Nic and Mina. More Nic and Devon too.

Just got to watch the episode.

I do not trust Conrad's father at all!

Lane needs to go something is not right with her at all.

Poor Conrad having to deal with his father and then seeing Jude in Nic

, that last scene between Conrad and Nic killed me

Love seeing Nic and Mina together this episode.

Bell doesn't want the other doctor there cause he knows that doctor would end up figuring out what is going on with him, and put it all together.

Now on to the Doctor who took over Conrad's patient, he is another one I do not like. What doctor gets paged that a patient is seizing and does not come to his aide? That scene between him and Conrad, with Conrad warning him

Conrad's father is super evil and untrustworthy...and so it that other doctor that got into it with Conrad!

Mina is such a bad ass! Loved seeing her take down the guy that tried to rob her. Personally, I don’t really blame his parents for not wanting him in their life if they have given him so many chances and then he put their other baby at risk… How come there was no conclusion to that storyline though? That was a bit weird. And then it just went into Mina helping patients in her home. I found that whole plot a bit strange. I hope its extended on more later.

Wow, its been a DECADE since Conrad saw his dad? WTF. I need to know more backstory. They way they were talking it just sounded like he pushed Conrads mom away and then fought for custody just to stick it to her. But surely there has to be a lot more to the story. Maybe he was abusive. There has to be a reason why he hates him so much.

I liked seeing Conrad’s jealousy of Nic and the other guy. I wish that storyline would move a little quicker though. I freaking LOVED their ending scene because they just have so much chemistry.

When Conrad said he had to realize it was over, that was so sad.

I want her to tell him its not!

We learned more about Nic’s past which is great. So her sister is an addict. Interesting. I’d like to learn more about that. I did like the Mina and Nic scenes as well. I also loved the Pravesh/Nic one in the beginning. I loved when Devon realized that Nic was right. That was a great moment.

We'll maybe see him again in the future like Lily. One of the things I like about the show is that patients' story lines don't always start and end with an episode.

He was a kid when those things happened so maybe there were things he misinterpreted because TBH his father doesn't looks so bad. And maybe there was something wrong with her mother too. I hope we'll find out more about it.

I am so torn on Conrad's dad. In a way I want him to prove to Conrad that he is a good guy, and yet as of now I don't trust him.

Mina is so awesome, and I loved seeing her take that guy down.

The Conrad/Nic scene at the end was so amazing and so sad at the same time.

i just cant imagine that Conrad would hold this grudge over something like that? IDK. I think his father has to have done something horrible we haven't learned about yet.
