Episode Discussion - 1x07: The Elopement

Conrad goes head-to-head with Lane when he disagrees with her over a treatment plan for a terminal cancer patient. Tensions rise when Jude inserts himself in the middle by offering to perform the invasive procedure Conrad is fighting against. When a VIP patient crosses the line with Nic, she must devise a strategy on how to stand her ground and combat the situation. Meanwhile, Bell realizes he’ll need Mina’s hands more than ever.

Jude is really starting to piss me off. Dude is just annoying. At least he had to decency to tell Nic to figure out what she wants.

I love that Nic seemed jealous of Conrad hooking up with someone else, even though she denies it. Their little banter is still adorable. I need them to hook up pronto because they are too hot to waste. I LOVE that he told that jerk wad to apologize for harassing Nic!

that's a man. THE JACKASS BELL NEEDS TO DIE ALREADY. When he said that Nic invited that behavior UGHHHHHH. My blood was boiling.

SO GLAD that Mina was able to take him down and refuse to work with him. She's a queen.

I see Nic's point about taking care of herself but I will never agree with the idea that someone cant or shouldn't stand up for you. I dont care if its a guy talking to another guy, I think that Conrad is right, guys cant just think they can get away with that crap. So someone needs to say something. But it was pretty bad ass to see Nic confront him and threaten him. Good for you girl.

The ending Nic/Conrad scenes were just adorable with all the foreshadowing and looks and then Conrad admitting he wasn't over her. I just love them so much.

I cant wait to see them work together next episode as well.

Matt/Conrad just gets hotter every episode. Seriously. He is so good in this role.

Mina, I just can't get enough of this woman

Jude, oh Jude.... GO AWAY! I can't stand this guy.

Of course Conrad isn't over Nic, now she needs to decide what to do.

Devon going to his fiance (when did that happen by the way) to look into Lane, interesting but they need to be careful that it doesn't back fire.

Promo for next week looks very good, Conrad and Nic coming together to help a patient, looks like Mina and Devon will also be helping them.

Definitely agree about the misleading title! I’ve had enough of Jude too! And the baseball guy was creeper for sure and definitely disgusting! Loved Conrad standing up for not just Nic but for all women! Loved LOVED Devon/Conrad working together! Love them so much! Great episode!

Another solid episode. I love these characters and how they approach situations.

Lane is just shady. Money is certainly a factor but she’s scary obsessive about controlling the patients and justifying it as doctor knows best. Makes me wonder if she lost someone to cancer and blames the doctors for not doing enough??

Bell. Oh Bell. I can’t wait to see how you get yourself out of the mess of your own doing.

Mina is one of a kind. I love that she found a way to stick it to Bell. Not sure how long it will last but she’s not one to be messed with.

I think we need a Nic-Mina friendship thread. Not many scenes together but I’m here to see them work together more and continue the friendship they’ve got going.

Happy to see Conrad on board with Nic in taking down Lane. The trio of Nic/Conrad/Devon will be fun and nerve wracking to watch as they do just that.

Nic and Conrad are so not over. The looks they give and how in sync they are is off the charts. I continue to be surprised how mature they’re written. I’m so used to the cliche stuff that it’s refreshing to see it handled differently here.

I love that little bit when Conrad turns to Nic and goes "Tell me everything." or something like that.

I loved that whole end scene. Both finding a way for the older couple to go home and enjoy the rest of the time they had left together. To the looks they gave when the woman said they made a cute couple. And finally down to business of taking down Lane.
