The Resident 2x20 Episode Discussion "If not now, when?"

Devon grows concerned when a mother's complaints go unaddressed after her delivery and pushes Bell to take drastic measures. Conrad is faced with breaking the news to Nic regarding Jessie's worsening condition. Meanwhile, The Raptor, Mina and Kit spring into action when a mother and son enter the ER with devastating injuries in the all-new “If not now, When?” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, April 15th on FOX.

What an episode! :thud: I think I need to watch it a second time before I can write my thoughts down.

This was a really good episode, but frustrating too.

Nic and Conrad broke up, nooooo. :bawl: I saw it coming and Conrad was 100% right imo. He wants to move forward and its fine if Nic doesnt but to barely look at him when he tries to talk about it? That would be so annoying.

Go Devon! OMG, that poor women died and it could have been easily prevented, how horrifying and sad. :( And now the father is left alone with his newborn, I cant imagine how horrible that would be.

It definitely was the right step at this moment, whatever is wrong with Nic (and I am talking about stuff before everything with Jessie happened), it does not help if Conrad is around her apparently. Maybe space will do her some good. I have wondered for a long time what her problem is actually and I feel like the appearance of her dad help but it is still a big question mark for me. I do believe her when she says that she loves Conrad but there is something holding her back from fully letting herself be happy in a relationship.

Devon rocked so hard in the episode. Kudos to him. The woman dying was so incredible sad. :(

I was away so I just got to watch the episode! It was great and definitely intense and heartbreaking! It was great to see Devon shine!

Unsung Hero 04-22-2019 09:15 AM

It definitely was his moment to shine.

Yeah when we first started this series I always thought Conrad was the reason they weren't together because he couldn't open up to her, but it seems its actually the opposite now.

Im so glad we got to see more Devon in this episode because the doctor that he is because recently hes been given the shaft for storylines and kind of made to look like a bit of a fool. Bring back season 1 Devon.

And a 3 or 4 year old (or however old his other daughter was)! :bawl: I just can't imagine that. So many women die during childbirth, for many different reasons, but this definitely could have been easily prevented. :bawl: I loved how Devon stepped up and it was great to see him shine, but it's so sad how it happened.

I had to come here and post about the episode because I just watched it yesterday (I'm so behind!) and I was bawling my eyes out during the moments with the father and receiving the news about his wife. :(

Conrad & Nic. :( I have no words. I don't agree with the way Nic is handling things and she's not really opening up and talking to Conrad about it, but I've never been in a relationship, so IDK how things are supposed to go.
