There are TV Series, like Luther, which have almost 2 years in between, and I've never stopped waiting for it, knowing that they announced that there will be a Series 3.

lol that's true. All my favorite shows - GOT, The Borgias, Downton Abbey, and now Vikings - have massively long hiatus'. But they're always worth the wait
